If a person must be obsessed by something, I suppose a boat is as good as anything, perhaps a bit better than most. A sailing craft is not only beautiful, it is seductive and full of strange promise and the hint of trouble.

The Sea And The Wind That Blows

She spent the first few months in Yaquina Bay, Newport,
                                          Oregon.

We spent most of those months commissioning her to
sail North.  In May, 2006 she was christened Segue II.
In June, Bob Johns, Ron Collins and I left for Friday
Harbor, Wa. and the San Juan Islands.  Joy joined Bob
and  me on the last leg of the sail.
